In New Zealand, for the first time in 24 days, two cases of infection were detected SARS-CoV-2

Over the past 24 days, new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection have been identified for the first time in New Zealand. This was announced on June 16 by the New Zealand Ministry of Health. According to the agency, over the past 24 hours, two new cases of infection have been identified in the country SARS-CoV-2 and now their total number has become 1,506. It is also clarified that both new cases are imported and that they were identified by two visitors from the UK who arrived in the country for the funeral of a loved one. At the same time, according to the rules of entry into the country, both arrivals were quarantined and did not contact relatives, friends and acquaintances, and after positive results of tests for coronavirus were transferred to special quarantine centers, from which they will not be able to leave until their full recovery. In addition, the New Zealand Ministry of Health noted that no new cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in the country since May 25. At the same time, the number of deaths from COVID-19 in New Zealand is still 22 patients with 1,428 cured. Note, as reported by the news agency, earlier it became known that as of the morning of June 16, 32,476 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Ukraine.
