Minnesota began investigating racism among police officers
The Minnesota Department of Human Rights has launched an investigation into racism among law enforcement officials, Governor Tim Wales said on his Twitter page. During the investigation, it is planned to study the policies, established procedures and practical measures applied by the police department over the last 10 years, he said. The investigation will find out whether Minneapolis police abused their powers against certain segments of the population. Walz also promised to deal with every instance of racism in the state. According to the news agency, riots broke out in a number of cities and states in the United States over the murder of a Negro by a Minneapolis police officer. A curfew had been imposed on certain cities and regions of the country and United States National Guard forces had been engaged to bring order.
