In Iran, COVID-19 claimed the lives of 212 people in the last 24 hours


On July 27, a spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, said that about 212 Iranians had died of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 15,912. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. Sadat Lari noted that, taking into account 212 new victims, their total number in the country increased to 15,912. Over the past 24 hours, about 2434 new cases of infection were found, COVID-19 while 1436 people were hospitalized, she said. According to Lari, a total of 293,606 Iranians were exposed to COVID-19 infection, about 255,144 of them recovered and were discharged from hospitals. About 3,819 patients with COVID-19 are in critical condition and are being treated in intensive care units, a spokeswoman said. She also stressed that 2,353,532 virus tests had been conducted so far in Iran.
